Awarded by :iconcomicslist:

Hello and welcome to this very special award's presentation! I'm BunniAngel, one of your Awards Team members, here to present the award for Best Comic!

As a team member, I will try to present at least one award per month...and I choose based on five criteria. I also try not to pick the comics one would "predict" but that still are deserving in their own right. Well, enough about me... on to the award!

And the winner of this Best Comic Award is... :drumroll:

:star: ORIGINALITY :star:
While animal comics are not original, I give this comic good originality in the background of the story, that while man is now the superior species, it wasn't always like that. And that the intelligent animal species left the earth, before man could advance to the place we are now. Also some of the creatures you'll find are definitely original :)

:star: COLOR/SHADING :star:
I love the smooth coloring, and the color palette used for the comic isn't a blinding one. Also notice that the coloring technique improves throughout the duration of the comic, which means its author is constantly improving! It is also fairly detailed, even if subtly so (fur textures, textures on the bg etc).

:star: STORY/PLOT :star:
The main aspect of the plot that makes this comic stands out is centering around the 'supposed' villian instead of the 'hero'. And I love the fact that at certain points you ask yourself "and who is the villian here?'.

:star: COMPOSITION :star:
Overall composition is varied, which is good for a comic, with different angles, panel choices and layouts to convey the different moods and scenes.

:star: EXTRAS :star:
What I really admire about this comic is the author's willingness and determination to improve. Openly accepting grammatical corrections, advice and constructive criticism, something many authors are not readily able to do. I wish this comic continued improvement and cannot wait for more of the story to unfold!

Congratulations!
